How allergy testing can improve your pet’s quality of life.

We now have allergy testing which is done by blood draws. Your pet can remain on all of their medicines currently being used to give them relief without affecting the results. Blood is drawn, processed and sent overnight to the laboratory in Arizona. The testing evaluates for reaction to the 90 most common environmental allergens, plants, fungi, molds, and household dust mites in the Southeast, as well as testing for food sensitivities.

These results allow us to have allergy “serums/vaccines” formulated for the pet for the owner to administer at home. You can then simply follow a detailed printed protocol. If there are foods which the pet appears sensitive to, we will provide you a comprehensive printout of the brand names of foods your pet can consume safely, formulations which avoid the foods your pet has a sensitivity to. This methodology allows us to try to help the pet with more information about what is causing any discomfort or skin lesions.

If you’d like to take advantage of our allergy testing service, call our office at 864.232.6445 to schedule your appointment, getting your pet on his way to comfort and a better quality of life.
